He'll be comming 'round the corner...

Soon I'll be a Mom for the first time (in a matter or weeks...I hope!) so the work load will be coming to a halt until I can wrap my head around infant hood.  I'm hoping to be back in the saddle a few weeks after, given we have some sort of routine down.  So in the mean time, I'm holding off on any custom orders, and have taken them down from my Etsy. 

Although, all of the items on my Etsy now are still for sale and ready made, so all  I have to do is ship if an item is purchased.  So you can STILL SHOP! But anything custom will have to be post poned until further notice. (i.e. Military Service Medallions, Medic Alert Bracelets, Legacy Pendants, etc)

  Sorry about this, but once I get my bearings on being a new Mom, I'll let you know we're back in business!

And not to worry, I'll have plenty of pics to share upon his arrival some time around October 1st!

 Meet out newest addition! 

He's a sweet rescue dog from the Clovis, NM Humane Society we had to have.  He's a 10 month old Flat Coated Retriever. 



We were happy to give him a loving home...and a serious bath!

So I didn't win the F.A.B. Award...

But it's all good, I have some really awesome and supportive fans that I can't thank enough for voting me into the final round.  It was a close race, but hey, ya can't win 'em all!  Maybe next time...

In other news I had to recently close my http://www.bwsilver.com/ due to many reasons, but mainly because I got way more traffic on my Etsy!  I was lacking in sales on my personal website, and it was costing me way more money and effort than Etsy was. 

I'm sad to see it go, but we could really use the extra $ for the holiday season...plus I can put the extra saved money towards new items and supplies for you!   I think it will be ok, I didn't feel like it was as impressive as it should have been, and I'm definitely no expert when it comes to building a web page. 

Alas, it's done-ski, but I've been blowing up in sales over at http://www.bwsilver.etsy.com/ so the holiday shopping & creating is in full swing in the Bw*SiLvEr studio (aka my garage). 

Recently sold about 6 wine cork in about a 2 day period, along with some custom pendants and military service medallions....

Pics of those custom orders to come soon!  But, in the mean time, enjoy some photos of our decked out Christmas tree in our new home!  Husband even put up lights, LED of course...which I think we need more of...

A "handmade" Bw*SiLvEr website is in the works! I'm muy excited!

Still working on it of course, but a post will happen once it's complete and up in the interweb. I am doing it all myself so it's taking a bit longer than expected...this code stuff is kinda tricky...but never the less, it will be great and I hope you customers like it.

I love etsy, but I felt it was time to branch away and be my own craftsman with more personalization, info about me, custom orders, cleaning supplies, jewelry ideas, web specials, promos and more! Sounds good, right? I'd love suggestions and feedback on it when it's up, I want to make it easy to use and pleasing to look around on. Let me make it easy to order custom & handmade jewelry!

Fianlly in TEXAS!

We're home!!! Back in the Lone Star State! We moved into our new place on June 1st, and we are closing on our house on Monday! Super excited about that! I'm currently working on setting up my shop again, my wonderful husband made me a custom sized worktable to fit in a 'L" shaped nook in our garage. So I have an awesome new table to work on, and it's got custom shelves! YAY!

I'm hoping to get a few things started by Monday, and I have two orders to work on from some awesome customers so far! Gotta love summer time, it's when I get a good wave of business.

I have also signed up to be a seller at The Peddler Show, they have we wait listed as of now since they have lots of jewelry vendors (they don't want to crowd their shows with jewelry) but it's an organization that travels around Texas to different cities (large and small) to sell/show artists' handmade items! I'm kinda excited about this...even if I am on the waiting list for different cities. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good thing...if so, I will probably be showing in Lubbock, Amarillo, Arlington, and New Braunfels, TX...we'll see about the others...

NEW STORE ADDITION!

Today I opened a new shop with bigcartel.com which is similar to etsy but less emphasis on the sellings and promotions of other artists. It's mainly for your personal website selling, like you would put on a business card, not necessarily for sharing and wandering through different handmade sellers web pages.

Although, you can search for other sellers, it's just not as "accessible" as Etsy has it set up. But it's definitely a clean cut website, easy to navigate and post items. Looks great! I'm not sure of the traffic yet so I have a "free" account which only allows me to post 5 items at a time, and one photo, but if things go well, I can always upgrade to the paid one...just trying it out for now.

This website if also for people who have a band, art gallery, studio artists, and of course handmade or vintage items. Got some interesting stuff on there!
