So I didn't win the F.A.B. Award...

But it's all good, I have some really awesome and supportive fans that I can't thank enough for voting me into the final round.  It was a close race, but hey, ya can't win 'em all!  Maybe next time...

In other news I had to recently close my http://www.bwsilver.com/ due to many reasons, but mainly because I got way more traffic on my Etsy!  I was lacking in sales on my personal website, and it was costing me way more money and effort than Etsy was. 

I'm sad to see it go, but we could really use the extra $ for the holiday season...plus I can put the extra saved money towards new items and supplies for you!   I think it will be ok, I didn't feel like it was as impressive as it should have been, and I'm definitely no expert when it comes to building a web page. 

Alas, it's done-ski, but I've been blowing up in sales over at http://www.bwsilver.etsy.com/ so the holiday shopping & creating is in full swing in the Bw*SiLvEr studio (aka my garage). 

Recently sold about 6 wine cork in about a 2 day period, along with some custom pendants and military service medallions....

Pics of those custom orders to come soon!  But, in the mean time, enjoy some photos of our decked out Christmas tree in our new home!  Husband even put up lights, LED of course...which I think we need more of...

1AM Pledge & Giveaway

 FaberUna is a huge supporter of the handmade industry.  They've helped support and spread the good word of all the handmade artists from around the globe.  If you've never heard of them before, you NEED to check it out!  If you're looking to buy handmade items, selling handmade items, or just enjoy browsing through all that is handmade, they have it all for you to see... 

In light of all the handmade and artistry word spreading, they are also having a 1AM Pledge and Giveaway for anyone who makes the pledge.  The 1AM pledge has a simple purpose behind it: to promote the idea that everyone can at least purchase one handmade item a month.

All you have to do is pledge and once we receive 1000 participants, they will randomly pic someone to win a brand new iPod Shuffle! Everyone can enter, crafters and non crafters alike.   The promo runs for 2 weeks, and you might think 1000 sign ups is a big challenge, but FaberUna had over 5100 visitors last month, with a total of over 30,000 page views!

Big Cartel

NEW STORE ADDITION!

Today I opened a new shop with bigcartel.com which is similar to etsy but less emphasis on the sellings and promotions of other artists. It's mainly for your personal website selling, like you would put on a business card, not necessarily for sharing and wandering through different handmade sellers web pages.

Although, you can search for other sellers, it's just not as "accessible" as Etsy has it set up. But it's definitely a clean cut website, easy to navigate and post items. Looks great! I'm not sure of the traffic yet so I have a "free" account which only allows me to post 5 items at a time, and one photo, but if things go well, I can always upgrade to the paid one...just trying it out for now.

This website if also for people who have a band, art gallery, studio artists, and of course handmade or vintage items. Got some interesting stuff on there!

The new addition to the BW:Silver jewelry websites is officially up and running! Now you can find my jewelry in more places... http://bwsilver.1000markets.com/

Etsy remains to be my main web page for sales and custom orders, but I am looking into adding more items to the 1000markets website to make dual home sites!

Back to Work, Work, Work!

Finally, I am back in my studio to complete custom orders and to start new designs! I'm still working on the new website with 1000markets, but I will post the new link as soon as the shop is fully set up and ready to go.

In the meantime, I'm flooded with some really awesome custom orders that will challenge my skills and I will definitely put a new twist in my style. I'll be posting photos of these custom orders when I finish.

I recently signed up to sell on http://www.1000markets.com/. It's another website to buy and sell all things handmade like Etsy and Artfire. This website suggestion was sent to me by my step mom, Barbara, who is also a loyal BWSilver customer. I'm always looking for new ways to get my jewelry out there, so if you have any suggestions or websites or even people who might be interested, please let me know!

I am getting my profile and shop ready to launch soon! Hopefully it will help bring more BWSilver lovers to my door...
